Should an independent garage let customers book online?

The booking that comes in at 10pm on a Sunday isn't a booking you'd have got any other way.
The short answer
Yes. A meaningful share of bookings now happen outside working hours, when the phone isn't being answered anyway. An online booking page doesn't replace the phone, it just catches the customers who'd otherwise book with whoever answers first the next morning.
The worry most garage owners have, and why it's smaller than it feels
The concern is usually that online booking feels impersonal, or that it'll look like a big chain rather than a local garage. That's only true if the booking page looks generic. A branded page with your logo and colours reads as your garage, not a rented platform.
How ManageMyGarage helps
Every garage gets its own booking page and a widget for the website it already has, and bookings land straight in the diary with the customer attached, so nothing has to be re-entered by hand the next morning.
